I worked for Geico back in the early-mid 2000s. They told their employees how many lidar/radar guns they donated as if it was a selling point to working for the company. When the state patrol started switching from Crown Vics to Chargers they closed off the access road to the building to allow an officer to demonstrate the "astonishing performance" of these new vehicles which geico helped fund by giving ride alongs on quick full throttle blast. I had a single turbo Supra at the time, so after my "thrilling ride" I asked if they wanted to demonstrate its speed compared to a performance car; unfortunately they declined the opportunity.

As an owner of an insurance agency, I would recommend insuring these types of cars with "agreed value" endorsement since they are not your run of the mill cars.

It seems like the asking prices for these cars have risen from the mid 30's for a 40,000 mile car to the mid to upper 40's. Anyone else thinking they are climbing, or is it just me?
