Hi All,
I've purchased a 2002 996 Turbo (Arctic Silver) a few weeks ago I'm needing some help to clarify some missing pieces.
The car was heavily modded (larger throttle body from a cayenne turbo, custom y pressure pipe, turbo smart blow off valve, custom air intake), it's it's blowing codes including the PSM/ABS lights flashing.
I purchased a leak tester and have found many leaks (passenger side pipe from turbo to inner cooler, driver intercooler weld, hole in weld of custom y pipe, oh and blow off valve full open) and I'm wanting to get this car sorted. I'm replacing the throttle body back to stock, replacing custom y-pipe which includes blow off valve back to stock and I've picked up new EVOMS boost pipes, diverter valves (since they were removed), F-Pipe and new EVOMS intercoolers.
As part of reinstalling the diverter valves I had to get the y-piece that they plug into. I've noticed it has 4 connections, 2 for the diverter valves, 1 for a vacuum back to throttle body and another large hole for something.
My question is what is that something? Does the y-piece that holds the diverter valves plug back into the intake manifold which is located down near driver turbo intake?
I've got all the hardware and waiting for a sunny weekend to start this, but need to make sure I've got it all planned out.
Any help is much appreciated.

Congrats and welcome to the club.
Best way to learn about these cars is to buy a not-so-well sorted car and digging into it to make it run right. That's what I had to do. Parts diagrams will be your best friend.
Good luck

aside from all the leaks was the car tuned? are you running a mafless tune? instead of replacing all the modded parts with stock parts which may not play well with a tune. why not sort the leaks find out about the tune and keep the what sounds like a mafless setup? if theres no maf and you don't have a mafless tune this could be the source of all your codes
The fact that all this stuff was added with no tune is so confusing. Previous owner was not a Porsche guy, but liked to tinker.
that sounds like the base of all the issues. get a mafless tune from srm and unplug the maf. having moved the maf and making all those intake changes with no tune is a recipe for codes and problems.
I've got a Cobb AccessPort v3 so I'll give that a try after I fix the leaks. Thanks
