Thoughts on this 996TT
Not sure if the owner is on this forum or not, but what you guys think of this car?

I know it is hard to comment/judge by pictures, but seems it has good amount of maintenance done. I wish the miles were about 15k less. Looks clean and well taken care of. Any thoughts/comment/suggestions would be great. Thanks
***UPDATE***
Turns out the car is sold.... ugh. On to the next one. Any feedback/comments on this on in FL? I was trying to stay away form 2001 and only interested in 2002-2005, but besides the glove box and the never ending debatable stiffness enhancement, there should be any other difference/reason to not got with a 2001. This one has sports seat, leather interior I think? What do you guys think? Obviously wheels would probably change.

It does look well maintained but the price is still a little high for that mileage. The biggest benefit is that it already has its coolant pipes welded which will save you a good chunk of change and worry down the road. Even with that though, Id still say its about 2-3k over what I would pay.

I only drive about 3k-5k a year so I'm not too worried about putting too much miles on it. I have my CTS-V for over 3 years now and I only put 10k miles on it. Now I just need to sell it and get a 996tt

I'm also looking for a 996tt to keep for a very long time. I really like this car and I would imagine I'd keep for over 6 years. Even with the higher mileage, and me doing as much work myself as possible, I think a well maintained one, like this, would last me.
Those aren't supple, are they? Thought supple is the "wrinkly" look.
And I apparently didn't read the description. But yeah, I just wanted to very those were not supple. Trying to avoid supple leather, but not a deal breaker.

Owning my own shop and also owning multiple Porsches myself, I would not worry about miles, but rather what has been done to the car. Miles does not mean a thing, I can destroy a car in 5000 miles, or make the same car last 100k. Look for what has been replaced.
I wouldn't sleep on the 996tt's for long, prices have been slowly creeping up even on the higher mileage cars. If this is the car you want try to shave a few bucks off the price and go for it, I personally think you can't go wrong with these cars long term.
So what should I ask about and look out for when buying a used 996TT with good maintenance record? I know PPI is recommended. I know they have a second gear issue that I need to check during a test drive. ECU scan to see level 2 over-revs, but even with type 2 over revs, it is not the end of the world.
