996 Turbo with 350mm Rotors (GT2? 997?)
Other plus side is the 350mm spacers look great with the standard 18" wheels

I agree 350mm is a cost efficient upgrade, but is more expensive and has greater mass(rotational and unsprung)...everything has compromises.
Upping to 350mm also means the stock 6TT spare wheel won't work.
Guess my point is, both 330mm and 350mm brakes work great, don't feel you 'have' to do an upgrade.
Cheers,

Just for everyone info i got my spacers from 034 Motorsport in the states
They are in Fremont CA wherever that is
Their number is 877 591 9571
The spacers cost me $160- US if I remember correctly. That was for a full set front and rear.
and i agree 993 you dont "have to" do the mod just IMO totally mad if u didnt
The additional unsprung weight is negligible and my spare wheel and pump were replaced years ago by a can of Zssh
mainly for the increased boot space but also to reduce unnecessary weight forward.
Cheers men
Tim

Ok I think I confused everyone....I ALREADY have the 350mm rotors AND 6pot. Time for new rotors. So I just need to know do I buy 997T rotors for front or 997GT2 rotors? Again I have the upgrade already, I just need to know what to order to replace existing worn out rotors. I dont need instructions for an upgrade....its already done by previous owner which I cant get hold of.

LMAO
If you want to replace with better lighter rotors buy Gyro Discs otherwise just buy the same again i use sebro oem supplier rotors from pelican myself. $400 should cover all four corners.

I've been researching this myself as an upgrade path in the future. Pelican has a number of different rotor offerings from different manufacturers and I'd agree Sebro looks to be a good middle of the road rotor. It's offered coated and slotted which should help with cracking for instance. Sebro only appears to offer front rotors from Pelican but OEM and Porsche rear rotors aren't too expensive.
GiroDisc 2-piece rotors run $2400 for 4 corners and could be noisy in the street, do they have the e-brake drum? These are nice and light though and replacement disks obviously run less.
One thing that confused me - there appears to be different part numbers offered for 997.1 vs 997.2, which do we want for this upgrade?? The parts spreadsheet link I shared last night will take you to several different Sebro front rotors and I listed Porsche rotors too but if there a difference in 997 rotors I was unaware of it so don't take the spreadsheet as gospel!

Sebro 350mm Rears are on Pelicans site Magic you may of flicked pass them if using ur mobile device $104 each if i recall correctly.
Cant help with ur part numbers query though buddy way over my expertise.
Krazy probably knows though

I have 350mm 997T rotors front and rear only thing that is required to make them fit are the spacers fot the stock 996T calipers which were readily available try 050 motorsport over your side of the ocean they used to make a set for 150 bucks which include caliper bolts.
The 350mm rotors are a great upgrade and IMO should be done when replacing the stock rotors.
Cheers

I'm thinking of putting 350mm on mine when my brake come up for replacement. Could you describe in what ways the 350 mm are better than the 330's.
In my opinion, the stock TT brakes are just OK. My car is getting up there in HP following a second round of mods and I would like better braking.

First of all Stopping distance decreased. Dont know by how much but its better than nothing
Amount of serious hard braking corners increased before on set on any noticable fade. Great if ur like me and love fast backroads in the hinterlands?
Added coolness, they just Look fantastic 350mm discs almost completely fill my oem 18" rims.
Minimal effort and cost needed to do a mod which will see immediate benefits only discs and spacers, really only spacers as the discs are very similarly priced.
IMO 350mm rotors with standard calipers and decent pads are more than enough unless you are heavily tracking your car.
Many members will agree your going to be hard pushed to want anything more.
Perhaps my good friends Jimbo or the Hound would like to pipe in here both have gone further than only just rotors the Hound much more so.
Cheers men

The 350s are a good simple upgrade. They will give you increased fade resistance with repeated hard braking. Not really sure if you get decreased stopping distance but I doubt it as the stock brakes have more than enough ability to invoke ABS so in theory there should be no improvement. There is however an increase in "cool" factor with the bigger rotors filling the wheels better.
With that said, the OEM 350 rotors are good quality but rather heavy. Sebros are a good option and an OEM supplier. I have several sets of 350 Giro and AP racing J-hook rotors new in boxes if anyone needs a set. Also have 380s. Tons of brake stuff, pads, etc. I go through it like water and supply a bunch of local track guys..

Like said though the biggest difference in prolonged braking. The larger rotor has more surface area and mass meaning it can absorb and dissipate more heat. This means less fade and more consistent braking.
I've build stock caliper BBK kits for many car platforms and front testing can tell you that for the money, simply moving to a larger rotor with brackets on stock calipers and a better pad are your best investment for the buck. Often a larger caliper on the same size small rotor nets you little gain because it can often overheat a rotor. This it typically with stuff though with rotors in the 11-12 inch range. The stock 13 inch rotors by yesteryears standards were very large.
