I have a slight incline in my driveway before my garage. Sunday morning I go out then park in the driveway as usual and as usual pull the parking brake up, sometimes I leave it in gear often I do not but I always pull the brake all the way; I'm not new to manuals.

That afternoon my wife comes over and tells me that my car is touching hers. Go out to find that the parking brake released itself and the car rolled back into my wife's car. No damage really, the bumper guard went into her license plate and dented it and also scratched the right bumpergaurd pretty good. The bumper is fine but I have the Bumperplugs painted ones, so I wanted to buy a spare one from Ebay so I can send out the original to get repainted.
I see plenty for the 996 C2 C4 but one item said not for TT or C4S; I thought they were all the same.

Can someone verify if they are different.

And also has anyone ever had a problem with the parking brake releasing on its own. I'm pretty confident I pulled it all the way as I always release and make sure it doesn't roll back before I shut off the car.
Luckily my wife's car was there and it didn't roll back into the street or into a neighbors car or something.

Good question... I can tell you they have different part numbers for the narrow body pieces, which makes me think they are not the same.

TT/C4S-- 9965054250170C driver side 9965054260170C passenger side
NB-- 9965054250070C driver side 9965054260070C passenger side
