Got a chance to run my Stage IV at the local dragstrip last Sunday. My best run was 11.60@124. I'm taking the car to Todd at EVOMS on Tuesday for the GT700 upgrade, I guess I'm a power junkie. Enjoy the video!

Nice runs man, but damm your at stage 4 and Scotts ran 11.6 on stage 2, his car is an animal... Good luck on the GT700 package , sell me your old parts for cheap pleaseeeee

The atmospheric condtions here in AZ make us one of the slowest places to run in the country. Our high temps, low/no humidity and high elevations kill ETs and trap speeds. The day I ran, the temp was about 70f, the humdity was 11% and the track elevation is 1250ft. If you factor all of those things in and calculate my corrected times (like the magazines do) I ran an 11.3@127.

 

Ahh i see, great run man.. So going to GT700 package, how about hooking up a new 996tt owner with old parts LOL jk

Why stop at the GT700 . . . why not GT800 or 900? The GT700 will quickly became as ordinary and banal as your current GT640 (trust me, Ive been there).

I think its very hard to get our cars down the strip in less then 11.3.. and aside from a few guys... no one has done it. do u really want to spend an extra xxx thousands just to go .3 seconds faster? under ur signature u said that u did 11.39 at 129 mph.. was it at the same strip and same car/set up?

 

nice time... definately time for the GT700! Does your Carrera GT feel faster than the 996?

I decided to stop at the 700 for now because from what I've seen it is the best mix of high HP and everyday streetability, and no internals need to be done. If I want to upgrade later, I will already have most of the parts I need.

 

It's a different type of acceleration, the CGT is instant power through a higher rev range with no power cut between shifts.

NICE!!! That's one sweet ride you've got. We're going back to the strip on Jan. 8. Too bad you can't make it out. We love to go there and destroy all the Vette's Vipers and Stangs with Porsches and Benzes

Out of curiosity....where did you run the 11.39 @ 129mph in your TT at? That's an extremely fast time. Or is that your best *corrected* E.T. and trap?
