..... ask for pre-salvage pictures if damage was only cosmetic I say yes the setup is awesome...
Think you could get him down a little but agree with the above - I have owned salvage cars before and as long as the car checks out with a thorough PPI you can get some really good cars for cheap; plus this car has some great features.
^ presumably only has tune, exhaust, a dubious add on of the v flow air intake and k 24's.
i say 525 crank,.. tops. but enough to make you smile any day, anywhere. probably a good deal for someone not wanting to spend that extra mod money to begin. these are solid mf'rs and most of the mods appear to be cosmetic. so figure the power mods added 100 hp from stock? perhaps a smidgen more but i'll say 525 crank ( ish )

Generally there are no adds for extras and options, mods generally detract from the price. Repaint will lower the value significantly to most everyone. Salvage branded title will lower value significantly. Why was the windshield replaced and the rear window weatherstrip? A few options and repaint can really dress up an otherwise unsellable dog. Always with cars of this nature, there are stories, justifications, exceptions, reasons, etc.
PPI, if you can get it for $24-26K you may be doing OK. I'd bet a P car or high end exotic car dealer wouldn't pay close to that. Just my opinion.

You would be surprised! I know someone who was run off the road awhile back. Damages included a fender, bumper, radiator, and suspension pieces on one side. Then the idiots at the tow yard did a little more damage. That was all it took for the insurance company to try to total the car and set off a huge fight. Zero frame damage, every piece not hard to get, and the adjuster was just a complete *******.
This is why declared value is smart, and something I need to switch to having already had one nice car totaled out from under me. Between stereo work and recent other work I've got near half my original purchase price (used) back in my car!

That said... I would say that 36 is more than I would be willing to spend for a car like that. I would HAVE to get an in detail PPI before I would ever consider a salvage car. You are also going to need to understand that this car will most likely be very difficult to resell as you have so few people willing to consider a salvage car.
On a side note, in CA do salvage cars need additional inspection to register? I would ask around at the DMV to confirm that they do not. I would not want to jump through a bunch of hoops to get it registered.
