The full track is 4.5 miles long, with 23 turns and is an absolute blast to drive. UMC is a terrific facility with lots of amenities like paved parking, gas pumps and real bathrooms.
You do not have to be a PCA member to participate and we expect a number of BMWs, Audis and other marques on the track. For this event, you should have prior track experience, as there is no beginner group. If you do not have prior experience on either the Miller East, West track, the full track at Miller or are not an experienced track driver, please contact Greg Troester at de@irpca.org
There are also safety requirements for you and your car. These include an M 2005 or Snell SA 2005 or newer rated helmet, and closed toe shoes. Shorts and short sleeved shirts will be acceptable for this event. NO convertibles without rollover protection. Boxsters and 996 Porsche Cabriolets have Factory Roll Over protection, and will run with the top up. Earlier model Porsche Convertibles will need Roll Bars or Cages installed. All vehicles must run with the tops in place, no open top cars allowed. (This means T-tops, Convertible tops, Targa tops must be in place and in the up position). No open-wheel, open-top, or "sports racer" type vehicles will be permitted (think Radicals and the like). Please indicate your level of experience on the registration form. Instructors are available on a first come first served basis for Friday & Saturday
Your car must have had a Full Tech within the last 30 days prior to this event (annual tech forms are no longer accepted). IRPCA will NOT offer full tech inspections at the track the morning of the event! There are several garages that may offer this service at the track- you will need to check with them and you will likely miss some track time. You can get full car tech at Ken Garff Porsche of Lehi, Tatum Racing (UMC), Kapp's European Imports (Orem) and other specialty shops such as Air Power Racing (UMC), Concourse Auto (SLC), Hillside Tire (Ft. Union store), Motorsport (SLC), RSR Motorsports (Layton), Porsche Salt Lake (Strong), Makes & Models (Layton) & JDP Motorsports (Sandy). Some shops provide the full tech service for free. Please check with the shop you select for their fee schedule. The Full Tech inspection forms are available at: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3yG...kzQnJ6SWs/edit
Note on inspections – race cars with annual tech inspections completed by PCA, POC, NASA, etc. May be exempt from this – contact Greg! Also note that some shops may charge for inspections, while others do not. Tatum Racing does not.
In addition to the above “Full” tech, PCA National requires us to do a "Top Tech" at the track. This is a very brief safety check and only takes a few minutes so please be on time or you will miss your 1st session. The Top Tech inspection forms are available at https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3yG...NEVUZyM1E/edit (please bring both forms with you to the track- it helps everything go so much more smoothly!)

The highest I had on my MoTec logs when I got comfortable with the track was 162mph based on GPS. Generally I was in the 158-159 range. Indicated on the gauge would be 3-4mph quicker as the gauge in the cluster reads a little higher than actual.
