Nopes Just don't leave it in the "performance" mode by accident.. We had that happen to one of our customers... He left his X50 in the 100 octane mode and the car flewwwww on his test drive. He was in for his 30K service and the service manager (knowing us and knowing that we'd played with it) pulled a fast one on the owner. He told him there was something "seriously wrong" with his engine because the car was boosting 1.3 bar....

Every tuner that I asked that question tells me NO
How many "tuners" are out there for the TT's?

I can count "4".. on one hand.

Last Shootout I attended had 10 cars and 2 tuners...LOL

I guess it depends on your definition of a "tuner". I think there are multiple places that can upgrade a car. In the last week I have found at least two reputable shops that are GIAC certified and have modded many TT's. Both were recommended by AWE tuning for the Northwest area.

We don’t plan on bringing the GT2R's to the USA for the ALMS.
The restrictor sizes are to small.

I just wanted to thank everyone here who gave their two cents on what I should do..
Its GREAT to hear it from people who have been through this mod. and I feel much better now.
I will keep everyone informed on what I will be doing to my car in the future.
I realize that what I am doing is nothing compared to what I have read about other peoples cars and this is just the beginning.

Thanks again everyone and have a great new year..

Go drive someones chipped car and you won't believe how stock and smooth it feels until you get on it. Then it will just pull harder all the time on the throttle. It does not fell dangerous to me. I don't know about the 6 and 7,8 hundred chips but 1-4 stages seem to be ok.

I think I will do the chip as well as a exhaust and air intake.

Which exhaust sounds and works good? I am not looking for something that is too loud.

Good for you

In terms of the exhaust it sounds like you don't want a loud one that drones and hence you're limited to these four... Europipe, MillTek/EVo, Cargraphic or AWE... None of those resonate (nor does the RuF actually).

monsoon, i just chipped my non x50 turbo, and the difference is defnitely felt. from stock (.6 bar, with spikes of .7) to 1.0 sustained for a long time. The power delivery is very smooth and the car really feels faster. It has to be 60-70 hp more. I know you have an x50, so it might be a different, but for the record, the giac software is well worth it.

Had it for 2 days and im loving it. I also purchased the flashloader which seems to be a good idea because the car is still under warranty.

Question for those who know: Is an exhaust upgrade more of a "must have" for an x50 car? Thats the impression that im getting... Can an exhaust benifit an x50 more than a non x50?

I'd say go with Stage4 (ECU, K24 Headers, Exhaust, Intake, BDV) at the minimal since you already have X50.
