1.0 Bar In 2nd Gear

I just installed the FabSpeed Sport and for the first time hit 1.0 bar in 2nd gear. Before tonight .9 was the max.

However I do think that I have lost some power down low since installing it. To make matters worse, my girlfriend who knows nothing about cars even mentioned to me when we were driving that she thought the car felt "slower" than before!

The dyno numbers showed a 22 rwhp gain but it seems that it is all up top. Has anyone else noticed this? The car has stage II programing and the Fabspeed. (No filter, No DV's)

I have stage two and regularly hit 1.0, I would say every time I floor it to be honest. I have hit 1.1 before, but, not often. I cannot imagine how you would lose low end. Turbo cars are not like normally aspirated cars in that na cars sometimes lose low end when adding an exhaust. Before I got my chip, I simply had a EP Stage 2 Loud, diverter valves, and an airfilter. Just with those mods and no chip, I hit .1 higher bar. The car had much less lag and was much stronger low and mid range.

Wow! 1.0 bar with just the Europipe and DV's and Filter in 2nd gear? In 3rd gear or above I hit 1.1 bar everytime but for some reason before tonight I could not hit 1.0 in 2nd.

Did you happen to get your car dynoed after the Europipe install?

I am sorry, you misunderstood me. What I meant was with just the above upgrades, I hit .1 higher than I had hit stock. I hit .7 when the above were installed and before the above could only hit .6. When I finally sent my ecu to EVO, that is when I started hitting 1.0 consistently and 1.1 occasionally. Sorry for the confusion

That makes more sense. Do you find their to be more power in the higher gears?

I have stage 1 ECU and can occaisionally hit 1.0 in second and rarely 1.1 in third. Stephen tells me the gauge is probably wrong because the program should not give that much boost.

Do you have any other upgrades? I bet if you get a good exhaust, you will hit 1.0 all the time and 1.1 occasionally as I do.

No other upgrades except a K&N. Plan to install DVs in a week or so (the stock ones are not honking yet).

Get a good exhaust, I guarantee your boost will improve .1 from what it is now. Good luck.
