Substantial enough to make me realize that I am not willing to part with the 996TT at this time, as I do not want to heavily mod another car in an attempt to replicate it. I always felt that my car possessed fantastic connection to the road with seamless turbo response while providing exceptional driver feedback and sure enough - it becomes very apparent in direct comparison. Not to say the newer turbos are bad cars because they certainly are not, however, they are a much different driving experience when compared to a lowered, fully modded 996TT, so for now I am going to look to add to it with a later model, rather than let it go. Seriously considering a PDK cab for a totally different experience.

hear you 10000%, did the same thing and grabbed a 997.2 TTS, a 6 speed 996tt just cant compare to a newer PDK equipped car for alot of things but the driving experiences are just so different.

Actually, I enjoyed my full CF, deviating stitched interior over the 997 plain jane leather. Exterior, 997 looks great. Interior is a toss up for me.

I have driven 997.1TT, 997.2TT, 991TT, 981, 991NA - I like the 997.2TT and 991TT's. That's what I am heading towards. However, the 991NA is a really nice car and I think I could be happy with it in cab form, as well.

Yea, that's exactly what I'm targeting now. Since I'm keeping the 996TT, I can take my time to find the right one. I am not going to settle, but instead wait for the right one (color, options, etc.) and jump on it when I find it.

"Nicer looking 993's and 997's"...
What a joke.

What a fantastic update - I've driven some newer models and you have found the same things I have. The connectedness of the 996tt on the road is a fantastic, unreplaceable driving experience.
