it wont be as high as 993 or 964 for sure. but manual 996 turbo is appreciating a lot. Turbo s and x50 for sure will have better share in the market. I'm so lucky that i had my hands on gt2 996 .

Many people with misconceptions about these cars have never actually driven one!! I think we are all going to be a bit biased here of course but I think after actually driving a nice, well sorted 996TT any doubts are thrown to the wind. I think we can all attest to the fact that these are amazing cars.

I was in the category of not really liking the lights that much and no real desire to consider a 996. Had driven a friends bone stock NA quite a few times and thought it was alright but not all that inspiring, other than the low cost of them.

Then I drove a turbo and completely changed my mind.
Car was stock X-50, other than PSS10's.
Then I upgraded to NT-01's, monoball front LCAs, tie rods & shock mounts, then Kevin's ZC K16's, then 997.1 GT-3 brakes.

At that point, I could hang with new Zo6 and pass most everything else except ACR, some flame throwing Lambo and a couple other modded 996 turbos.

Makes it a keeper in my book and you can't see the headlights from a bucket bolted to the floor!
