Too much boost?

About a month ago my car wouldnt make but .5 bar. You guys helped me out. Suggestions to clean the MAF and unplug the batterie to clear memory, did the trick and it was like a new car.

By a new car I mean it is now pulling .8 bar and flashing to 1.0 with a few times going to 1.1 bar, and it feels like it compared to when it made .5 bar. This occurs in gears 2-5.

The car is an '01 that I bought used with 19k miles on it. I bought it from the original owner that claimed the car was untouched. I have done nothing to the car but wheels and suspension.

Is this normal for the car to make this much boost? How can I tell if the car has been chipped? Or, could something be wrong which is causing it to make that much boost?

I have a Stage 2 GIAC flash program and it goes to 1.1 bar anytime I want it to. Nothing wrong.

At 0.5 bar, your car was running in 'safe' mode (probably due to dirty MAF).

Its definately a re-flashed car. Not even a X50 will do more than 0.9 pikes (0.8 steady) if you haven't touched the ECU, one of the previous owners did...
