Yellow Turbo in Maryland
Yellow Turbo in Maryland
I was wondering if the owner of a yellow turbo lurks on this forum. I saw you going on 695 east around 11 this morning. I was in my arctic silver turbo going the other way on the beltway. I ask because since I bought my turbo about 18 months ago, I have only seen maybe 6 others here in Maryland.
Wanted to say, car looked great.

Ive never seen this one, but I was out tonight with my brother in his 2000 S4 and we came upon an orange Turbo S with painted wheels. Long story short, we rolled on in second gear and were annihilated. The guy said he had GT2 exhaust and a chip. Wow! That thing was fast.
The gulf orange TTS is very sweet. He has done some nice mods to it as well. It was at the dealer while I was getting my yellow TT serviced. I'm in Kuwait currently so it was not me that you saw. But when I get home let's get together for a cruise. A local group at www.dorkiphus.com has local fun runs on a regular basis. Check them out they always have room for another Porsche.
You probably were looking at this guy -
He's a longtime member of our Porsche region and one great driver. Come on out to some PCA events and see a bunch more turbos. If you've never autoX, you have to try it. We'll be having a "Primer to AutoX / Sebring Review" at GTPerfromance at 9am on Feb 25th. Details will be posted at www.pcachs.org soon. Make sure you look me up!

Yea that is Dennis H. (I think) and he is a great driver. I have had the pleasure of riding with him at VIR. Manny A. is another member that is a great guy. If you see them tell them hello from Gunther.
Thanks,
Gunther
Thanks,
Gunther

Doctor K,
I'm just a civilian volunteer. The brave men and women are the ones deserving of your thanks. I'm over here to show them my thanks, but I do really appreciate your comments.

Yep, I know Dennis also. He does alot of track events. Last time I saw him, he had some Kinesis 18's on his car, and his car was slammed down way low. I am a member of the Chesapeake region, but have not done any events yet. Will get there one day and try it out.
The car I saw this weekend looked stock especially ride height. He was not going very fast in the other direction because his rear wing was in the down position also.

what's up guys... it's great to hear of other Speed Yellow turbos in the area with great drivers... makes me look good (or bad). ;-)
The only distinguishing feature for me is the Redskins sticker and the Remus exhaust, haha.
I'm interested in these autocrosses to hold me over until the track days come back.
