I was reinstalling the calipers/rotors tonight on the 996TT. I am converting the car over to studs & I cross threaded one of the rear hubs ever so slightly. I want to clean up the inner threads. I only hand tightened the stud a half turn or so but it must have gone in at an angle.
I have a tap set but the size isn't in my set. Does anyone know what the size is.

i had to order a 14 x 1.5 from napa. every place had 14 x 2 but not the 1.5. took a few days to get

 

I got mine from Mc Master Carr. Mail order essentially over night.

 

Wasnt willing to more for shipping than the tap cost! Was willing to wait until monday

 

Sent the wife over to local tool & supply shop yesterday. Got it. Wasn't excited about $27 for a tap, but what's a guy to do in a pinch. Lol

 

Yea the one in the pic I sent you was around $40. Overkill but what can you dol?!
