Yeah, my bulbs are probably ready to be replaced. I'd love to look at that PDF, I don't see it attached? Been soldering since grade school I cannot recall the bulbs everyone was raving about but they were good quality and reasonably priced so it just might be time.
I've used the Morimoto mini stuff on a Subaru, it worked GREAT! I've not found the beam on ours lacking too much honestly but if I had a spare set of buckets I'd consider tinkering. My existing setup has been polished and has a clear film applied that might not bake well Clear as a bell though which makes a HUGE difference!

Ha, not a chance. It's optically clear and not the crap you pick up at Walmart. The lights should never need polishing again with this stuff!
Hotrod you're pushing me over the fence lol. Bulbs may be my very next thing! Tempted to lightly upgrade my ballast too but I'll try bulbs first. The PDF makes it pretty straightforward a job and is very much appreciated - especially with the parts links. 40-45w probably the most I'd go. I'll be interested to see what others do for reflectors and whatnot...

There are a lot of drop in solutions for generic round housings but most of them are LED and can't match the HID output. Besides, drop-in is sooooo boring.
