Alex/ S Car Go Racing: Hoosier
Fredttx50/ EVO GT4: 19" street brand???
sharkster/ Imagine Auto & Kevin: DOT Pilot sport cups
Budman/ PES-EVOMS: DOT Pilot sport cups
Hamann7/ Protomotive: DOT Pilot sport cups
Cargraphics: DOT Pilot sport cups
By Design: DOT Pilot sport cups
Axis: Street brand???
Hartman: Street brand???
So it appears that the main contenders were all on the same tire. Looks like the Hoosiers were the only race tire out there..fyi

Msindi:
If Fred only did the front big brembo's (and did not adjust the brake bias) this is a really bad idea as he just dramatically changed his brake bias and is not using the full stopping power of his rear tires.

Agreed racer63, hoosiers are a huge advantage (I wonder if SCarGo heated them.
). 1 second ons uch a short course is a huge difference. I really wish they had data analysis for this so we could really compare what happened.

Also, aren't some Hoosiers DOT?
Do we know exactly which Hoosiers were run, as in DOT vs non DOT?

In the DOT categories, Hoosier-shod cars won the vast majority of races at this year's Valvoline Runoffs. And last years. And the year before. The cars that won the ARRC this year were also on Hoosiers by and large. And last year. And the year before.
Pilot Sports did not have a single podium finish at the Runoffs nor at the ARRC... They're just not in the same league.

I can accept if everyone wants to win "take no prisoners". The only thing I am really pleading for is full disclosure. Like CJV said, I want to see the performance of the engineering shown by the tuners, not who was willing to take the biggest risk with his plant. If Tyson in fact ran 1.2 boost, he kicked but yesterday. I doubt everyone will have the boost cranked for the track event. They probably will for the quarter mile.
I also have a prediction, unless they really put a difficult stress test on the braking, I'll bet that the big reds do not outstop the stock brakes! Tires (traction) will be the controlling factor.

I was there yesterday, and have no reason to believe otherwise... But, who's word do you take on how much boost? How does anyone except the owner/tuner actually know the boost settings?
From my previous experience in the Audi S4 shootout the magazine did not monitor it. If you did not finish all of the event due to breakage you were too far down on scoring too win. That alone is enough of a motivation not to break.
