Tires for 19s on 996TT

After checking around, it seem the only remaining 19" tires available in the correct sizes for the 996TT (i.e., 235/35/19 and 315/25/19 - TUV approval in Germany) are the Toyo Proxes T1R and the Nitto Invo. I've never run either tire before and would be interested to read opinions from guys that have used them as to the pros and cons of each tire. I'd rather not go through the hassle of importing tires from the UK for part-time usage tires. Any opinions out there?

Those tires have soft sidewalls and flat spot issues when parked. Just order the Contis if you need that size. Not a big deal really, just a bit of a wait. Otherwise go to to 245/305 or 295 combo, especially if you have poor road conditions where you live. The Pilot PSS runs wide so the 295 is nearly like a 315. No reason to run cheap tires.

You have other 19" tire size options, that being said there are literally hundreds of these threads floating around to check info on what sizes/brands to help.

I have pirelli p zeros.

911MTB will become famous soon enough
I run the Michelin Pilot SS 245/35/19 front and 295/30/19 rear without issue.

If willing to install front overfenders, can do 265-35-19 paired with 305-30-19 for exactly the same diameter and taller wall, this will give you fantastic grip running Cup2s in those sizes for example

I run the same setup

except 305/30/19 on the rear, a bit tight in the back on my BBS CHR's, but workable. I suppose next time I could try the 295's on the rear.

I do have the GT2 brackets, and did heat my rear fender liners to reshape to squeeze some space.

wee_dod is on a distinguished road
I have the Nitto Invo tires and they have been fine.

Definitely feel a bit softer than the PS2s I used to have but no problems on the street at least. Haven't tried them on the track.

Running 19's on my 6TT, 7TT and Cayman S. I've run Toyo T1Rs. Never again. Do like the Bridgestone S04 - work well for street and track. Also running Hankook Ventus R-S3, perform about the same as the S04's.

Just import the Continentals. I did and I'm very happy with them. Process is so easy. Mine arrived within 7 work days from first contact. There is a " how to" thread thanks to Brnrdtns.
