Top Speed Estimate

I guess the question has been answered. the top is gear limited at 190. My car would just there quicker. Pretty impressive if think that the car can pull from 40 to 190 one gear.

So is the top sped limited by rev limiter or power?
I know that if rev limit wasn't the limiting factor you could expect an extra 3% top speed for every 10% more power.
I'm surprised at that video-My gps shows my speedo to be out by at least 5mph at half that speed-my guess is he had a few more revs there to reach a "true" 190mph.

189 x (Your HP / 420) ^ (1/3.5)
Using this, we get a 2.7% increase in top speed for 10% extra power, which is consistent with the statement above.
Also, note the following:
355HP gets us 180 mph (approx 997C4S)
450HP gets us 193 mph (approx GT2/X50)
512HP gets us 200 mph
600HP gets us 209 mph
760HP gets us 224 mph (RUF, RUF)
1120HP gets us 250 mph (Chad/Todd?)
Obviously, these are rough estimates, and aero plays a huge role at these speeds (see how much power a TT needs to go RUF fast without their aero treatments), but it gives us an idea where we need to shoot if we want to go quickly.

The only ways to increase top speed is larger diameter tires providing you have the ponies to attain redline, taller gears again providing you have the ponies to attain redline or raise the redline and again have the ponies to attain the new redline.

If GIAC doesn't raise the rev limiter, how did you get the EVO Stage 4 with a raised rev limiter?
