What kind of maintenance costs should I expect w/my newly purchased 2001 996TT?

If you do your own plugs (like I did), your 30k will be in the $650 area.

The only reason why the '01s require a plug change at 30k is because of the stock plugs. The plugs were switched out to a better heat rating in the '02s-'05s.

You will also see that it says "Only on 2001 turbos" in the 30k section when it refers to plugs. The 60k includes plug changes for the '01-'05 turbos and says to exclude the '01 turbo if the change was peformed at the 30k per their suggestion. I'm only recalling from memory, but it was something along those lines.

I have my service book in front of me. The 2004 TT requires a major service and an oil change every 30,000 miles.
Only the Boxster, Boxter S, and 911 Carrera have 60,000 intervals for the plug change.
The 911TT, GT2 and GT3 requires a plug change every 30,000 miles.
My 30,000 mile service was done on 12-12-05 at 29,982 miles. It cost $ 875.00 and included both a major maintenance and a plug change.
The car ran like a banshee after the plug change. I would porbably do it every 15,000 miles if you drive it hard.
Minor Service:
My minor service done was done on 01-26-05 at 13,464 miles and costs be a whopping $ 185.00.
All in all, cheap as hell. I paid $ 9k for my 2001 Diablo when I took it in for a service.
