996 Turbo / GT2 Turbo discussion on previous model 2000-2005 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and 911 GT2.

What kind of maintenance costs should I expect w/my newly purchased 2001 996TT?

Plugs and diverter valves for sure. Your MAF is something that lasts for some and fails for others.

The 911TT, GT2 and GT3 requires a plug change every 30,000 miles.

My 30,000 mile service was done on 12-12-05 at 29,982 miles. It cost $ 875.00 and included both a major maintenance and a plug change.

The car ran like a banshee after the plug change. I would porbably do it every 15,000 miles if you drive it hard.

Minor Service:

My minor service done was done on 01-26-05 at 13,464 miles and costs be a whopping $ 185.00.

All in all, cheap as hell. I paid $ 9k for my 2001 Diablo when I took it in for a service.
Yea i plan on changing plugs after every 15k or so as well, i do drive it hard but take care of it.. PEople dont even believe me when i describe the night and day difference from the shot plugs and dirty maf sensor to new, fresh stuff.. The power increase and smoothness was just out of this world!

Spark plugs for sure. 01s are known for needing plugs at 20K. I woudl do soem research and put in some 02+ or maybe even GT2 plugs.
