Spark Plugs, MAF Sensor, Wheel Bearings, Clutch and or Flywheel.. Just normal wear and tear parts pretty much. I had to do a few things as well, but afterwards it was a night and day difference between feel, smoothness and power

should spark plugs be changed now or at the 30k mile service? I do get a bit of a chugging noise from the exhaust and not as smooth as I would like.

Exactly, your plugs are shot and i would replace or clean your MAF sensor with non residue electrical cleaner, there's a whole thread on it and it actually worked!

I use to get boost loss, a spitting/hesitation and just air coming out of the exhaust and then boost would kick in again.. Now with new plugs, maf sensor its night and day, so damm smooth and a crazy gain of power and torque, get it done ASAP

changing the spark plugs gave you more felt HP? no way. Sheesh, I just picked it from an oil change. I couldnt wait to get it back so I didnt think about leaving it for the plugs too. So if I change the plugs now, what is left to do when I do the 30K mile service? and wont I still be charged the same for the 30k mile service?

Also , what should I expect to pay for the spark plug replacement & the MAF sensor? My dealer told me I should change the diverter valve as well to make it smoother..what do you think?

You'll be looking anywhere between $500-$700 for spark plugs replacement. I'd clean the MAF first before replacing it. Since you have a tip, replace the tranny fluid.

Replacing the Cabin filter is part of 30k service.

LOL i dont think you understand, when your MAF sensor, diverter valves or spark plugs are shot, your loosing tons of smoothness and power, not boosting correctly and loosing alot of boost.. In my case it was all of the above except the diverter which i had, so after that, no more boost drop and hesitations under full throttle, it just got smoother and no joke 5x faster.

Get the evo diverter valves(your standard ones are almost definitely malfunctioning by now)-replace the plugs clean the MAF then start saving for more mods.

It is not the maintenance cost you should fear.....it is the cost of mods

Exactly, just replace all of these, then you will have a fresh, "brand new car"

Your mass airflow sensor, plugs into your airbox and could be shot or dirty, its kind of common on these cars and spark plugs as well.. I dont believe they are covered under warranty, but maybe, check it out!

My 30k service on my 04TT cab was around $ 278. At least I though that is what they said.

04TT doesn't require spark plugs replacement at 30k, so it's more of cabin filter ($60), oil change ($200) and inspections. It's still cheap though at $278.
