Sorry my friend. I certainly didn’t mean to pick on you or anyone else. I had no idea what or who’s exhaust that is. I just had it saved in my exhaust files along with a bunch of other pictures from about 4 years ago. It certainly appears to be very well made. Cheers!

Bill Korea is infamous around these parts
When there's a constriction in the exhaust, the local flow speed increases, and the local pressure goes down - think venturi. The exhaust inlet pressure seen by the engine does go up.
Compared to a straight pipe, the inlet pressure will go up significantly if there is a downstream local restriction, and it will go up a little if there is a downstream local expansion.

The x-pipe design improves scavenging plain and simple, it's been tested ad-nausea. If designed properly with EQUAL length pipes from the cylinder head, exhaust gases cannot slam into each other unless you have cylinders firing at the exact same time. I do agree with our car's exhaust layout/limited space it is a bit different than my old Mustang V8, that point is well taken. Otherwise, to each his own and let's not start a "which oil is best for my car" thread(s)....carry-on.

apples and tomatoes.

no scavenging involving cylinder firing order or header primaries occurs post-turbo.... you can get a slight venturi effect reducing back pressure with a well designed X, however the types that smash the flows together between banks/have a larger opening in the X do not have an effective venturi compared to the Unobtainium and EBWerks designs.
