Running Mafless... Can you run open diverter valves?

Im running mafless on my 03 turbo, can you disconnect the Diverter Y pipe, plug the return hole in the intake, and put a filter on the big Vacuum line that goes from that Diverter Y pipe to the N75 solenoid by the Throttle body. Wondering if there is a a good way of doing it or leave it alone.

You can vent them to the air if you are mafless. Not sure what you are describing, hard to follow.

i am taking about this. Do you just take this off, Plug the left side where the return air goes in to the intake? The is a hard vacuum line that goes from this to the area of the throttle body, do you simply put a filter on that end when you take the vacuum line off or leave it open?

Leave it alone, at least thats what I do with Sam's mafless cobb tune. I run factory airbox and vacuum lines along with DV system.

Yes, you can plug the hole going back into the intake tract and that's it. Then it will vent to the air.

Don't do it unless you can do it right but to answer your question, yes.

We are all in agreement then. Eclipse cars are cool. I thought about getting an Evo for a while.

Evos are nice, I had a couple. Hard to find unmolested now, like the newer DSM essentially. Still a money pit. It's amazing how the 2006 IX has held it's value. Used are still selling almost for what I sold mine for in 07 w/ 33k miles. Great cars, but money pits. Amazing steering, very easy to go real fast too. Considering how much we spend on Porsche parts, you could easily go 10s in a relatively reliable Mitsu. Part of me really wants a X as they are no more, but I am done with Mitsu, I have owned wayyyy too many as it is.
