This truely is a shame that it had to end this way...I am in Orlando, FL which is where I was when Ken got a hold of me.... Justin and I just checked into a hotel with FREE INTERNET YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. We are sorry that we couldn't meet everyone up there, as it would have been fun...For anyone going to the Jacksonville meet...I will still be there, I will be caravaning up there with Sloth, RDH, and Gary.

Damn! And I was about to post about how brave all you TOD guys were who were still committed. I guess had you really gone, there would have been a wide array of adjectives to use.



I would have been so envious had you all gone, but Ken, I think you made a smart call.

I'll pay attention to the boards to see if anything comes together for Sunday, but it looks grim for me already. I'm expecting 6 to 10 inches of snow here by Saturday night. The way cleanup works around here, I'm gonna have a hard time getting back into my garage.

You deserve a "medal of honor" for your efforts in trying to put this together. You can't control mother nature.... It is just Murphy's law that the day this is planned it snows or rains..

Well, I'm in Asheville at the Grove Park Inn. (800)438-5800 Rm 347. The weather is fine. The temp is 36 deg and the roads are wet but it is not raining. There is no snow or ice on I-40 or any road we were on! I guess I'm alone but I'll run the TOD anyway. That way I can make up any cool story I want! Anyone who changes their mind is welcome to call and meet me for the run or for a great meal at the Grove Park!

 

I spoke with Hani about 5 mins ago...they know TOD was called off and will be heading back to Michigan... All I can say is he will have quite a story for you guys and why they are 6 hours behind in Oaklahoma

Maybe consider Having something in addition to the Porsche Reunion thats scheduled in the spring at Daytona Speedway. Thats suppose to be HUGE. I would think it would be very easy for something as this inroute or an extra event down here aside from the reunion....

What a shame that TOD, but that's the way it goes. KPV you did an outstanding job organizing, planning, and the like - so I agree with the others, don't be so hard on yourself!
