My car needs a better suspension (Which one?)
Ok, after the shootout event is was obvious that my car needed a better suspension and sway bars. Having 19's did not help any of course
So with that said I would like to hear everyones opinion on a suspension that can be both used for street and track purposes.
Here are my choices in ranking right now.
1. PSS9's due to multiple settings
2. Hartmann (heard great things about it at the shootout
3. Cargprahics (another one that was well received at the shootout)
thanks for the help.

I'm really big on the JRZ's, You can get them as adjustable as you want starting at about the same price as the PSS9's. I have single adjustables on my car right now and I think I'm going to 4 way adjustables before too long. Even though my car is a pain in the *** to drive because the front end is about 2 inches off the ground, you're welcome to drive it. There are also a lot of other bells too and don't for get that scaling the car properly is really important when its all on the car.
Fred:
I'll be visiting in SF from Dec 17th - Dec 20th...
Staying over at Fairmont... I'll be meeting up with Endra (met a few times already).
I got my Ruf Suspension, and will have it installed on 15th and 16th. Of course I'll be driving up, lets see if you want to meet up and test drive the car to see if you like the Ruf PSS9 or not.
^___^ hehehehe...perhaps 3 techart gts can meet up to take photoshot...hahahahaha

There's no reason pss9's should have any better ride than a JRZ or Moton. Actually they should ride smother than the pss9's. So for the same money what is the disadvantage. I know Steve Goldman that owns that One off Mega buck RUF car had pss9's on it and said the car was undrivable on the streets. He put JRZ's on it with the exact same springs and said it's a new car and he now uses it as a daily driver! I think when people think of JRZ's all they think of are the Triple adjustable racing set up with Vari-rate springs. Remember JRZ makes the Shocks for Dinan's (BMW tuner) beast street setup and private labels for all kinds of other after market turners where ride quality is important. I know I have them on my E55 and it improve the ride and handling WAY over the stock AMG Bilsteins.
Before I get yelled at... I will tell you Yes, I am involved with JRZ as well as several other manufactures and I rebuild and revalve and dyno test quite a bit. Also before you ask ...No... I can't sell them to you. However, I can give you a lot of inside and you can make the decission from there. From everything I see, I do think they are the best out there for the money. I'm also really surprised when I hear about how often people say they have to rebuild them. Unless you are in really dirty conditions the seals should hold up quiet well. At least better than brakes with no dust seals. I've had them on my E55 For 2 years and 25,000 miles with no problems I just took them off for some testing and then back they are back on.

Hey there Cary,
I do agree with what you have said. I didn't want/mean to mislead Fred. I know one thing that the JRZ, whilst FANTASTIC, do require some maintanence, correct, which some of us noobs might find daunting at first

There have been some big improvements there. The older struts used a single guide at the top of the shaft and they are now use a much longer double bearing guide that doesn't allow any flex from high side loads. I found in testing that a lot of the time it was the fronts that would leak and not the rears. On the dyno we never had leaking problems so, we finally figured it was a result of hard cornering side loads and once you got a little leakage ... it never fixed itself. We'd never really had problems with the singles but found that most of those were on cars that weren't raced as much or had smaller tires so, it never showed up. All of the struts now come with the double guide and as a matter of fact if Chad is reading this...I don't believe your struts are the version with the double guide and it would be a good upgrade in that case. You can go a long time without rebuilding if they don't leak. The problem comes from shocks that leak and then they contaminate the oil and it has to be changed or the nitrogen leaks into the oil and that's a problem. Hope that helps

Is SF's city's roads that bad? @_@

Streets are ok regarding pot holes but its just the steep streets. If you dont know your way in the city and get stuck on a steep hill going up or down you will scrape and possibly crack the lip. I suggest you take off the lip in the city.

Fred - I vote PSS-9 with H$R sways especially if you dont track or do hardcore racing....The JRZ triple adjustable are like more than double the price!!
Dunno about you but if the 997 is really coming out then I am done spending on my TT....

I won't get the 997 myself, too much invested in mine already. And even if I got the 997 I'de be spending on top of that as well. So I am keeping this monster for at least 3 years ;-)
