Lowest priced Turbo I have seen....yikes!
Lowest priced Turbo I have seen....yikes!
Found this on ebay. I can't believe how much this car has depreciated. I know this car has a ton of miles (56K), but for this price, it is a steal.
I have 27k on my 01 turbo...makes me wonder what mine is worth retail.
The guy who wanted to buy the wrecked one a few months ago for 1/4 to 1/2 price should jump on this car. Plus he would have a clear title and not have to worry about any issues.

Wow that car actually looks brand new minus interior, but interior is even in amazing shape, wow!
Thsi type of shlt scares me as well for resale, but in the end i keep on driving the shlt out of it, who cares.. I realized i could have sold my untouched M3 for the same price in the end if i kept driving it, its inevitable but cars to depreciate, this is ALOT but still this is like the lowest 996tt ive seen, its a steal and hope they all dont take this low of a plunge

If I was in a market for a car today, then I would have bought that turbo today. I sold my 02 M3 Cab last year with 22k in pristine condition for $43k. I thought I lost alot on that car, but market value was right around there, whereas KBB and NADA were alot higher. I wonder what that dealership traded that car in for? Mid to high 40's, and then recondition and sell it for that price. Wow what a deal for the buyer.
Just out of curiosity does anyone know the residuals on these Turbos back in 01 for a 4 year lease? Maybe the dealer bought the car from Manheim from PCNA off lease, and the previous owner bought a ton of miles upfront, or paid a ton in mileage penalties. Just wondering where this car came from so inexpensively.
Well, I do enjoy my car. Actually, I love driving her around. I am not at all worried about resale value til it is time to let her go. Maybe why I am amazed is that almost 2 years ago when I was shopping for a 993 Turbo, the prices were the same for the 993 Turbo and the 01 996 Turbo. Being more into newer technology, I went with the 996 Turbo, which was priced from the mid to high 80k's and up. I wanted an 02 at the time, but could not spend 10-12k more just for a glovebox and Bose stereo. Anyway, I bought an 01 with 5k on the clock, which was nicely equipped for me for what I thought was a fair price.
Now fast forward to today...I find this car for over 30k cheaper. I know not same car and almost two years later, but that is quite a drop in that time. Just my thoughts.

yes but your car is way better than that car... even now :-)
Condition, mileage, CPO and options (somewhat) can swing value of the car quite a bit... so comparing that one extreme example vs. the beauty I'm sure you found 2 years ago is not comparable.

It would be nice to buy and invest in a GT800 package....maybe
