Fuel Sender Unit R&R - "Book time" on Labor?

Has anyone DIY'd the replacement of the fuel sender? Or, if you had a shop do it, can you share with me the labor time they quoted?

I have a fuel filler neck valve R&R that im doing as the famous " won't take gas" issue reared its ugly head. obviously, the most common cause is the failed filler neck valve. but when i pulled the E6 fuse that controls it. after a re-start i got the "drive to workshop" failed fuel sender notice on the cluster. while i believe that's only cos i pulled the fuse? i'd still like to know what the labor including the calibration with the psswis ( whatever its called ) would be "normally". just in case i DO need the sender. pretty sure it's only a 2-3 MAX labor inc calibration,.. but i've never replaced one before..either way, its getting a new filler valve cos i bought it already

any help is appreciated. filled fuel.. tanks in advance lol

I just replaced the fuel fill a few months ago for the same reason. About the time this started acting up my fuel gauge stopped going down at about 7/8 of a tank.
Replacing the fuel fill now lets the gauge run down to almost half a tank when it is really empty.

i feel like these two things are related and Ive been thinking about having a look inside the tank. I think ive found a couple threads that indicated a pretty simple procedure. Like a couple hours max.

+1 - Pretty easy install - very easy write-up in the manual - I can send the link if you need it...

thanks gentlemen. got it sorted. what i first assumed was the vent valve ( it was ) so i ordered that. but i first pulled the E6 fuse to make sure it wasn't just a blown fuse. that tripped the cluster error saying it was the sender gone bad. it wasn't, and the fuel vent filler valve was all that was needed.

nice to be able to add fuel again thx again.

add. yes turns out the sender R&R is 2 hrs incl the calibration with the diagnostic tool
