I think it's the fascination of seeing a supercar disappear into vapors right in front of their eyes!!

The way I deal with these people is turn the PSM off-apply around 2.5-3k of revs and mash the throttle as I ride the clutch.

I then slam the car from first to second with barely a lift of throttle just before it hits the limiter in first.

If the road is empty enough I continue the process through each gear until 6750rpm in 6th gear when I re-appraise the situation.

They usually get the message.
