Dyno - SRM K24's

I posted a thread back in Sep 2016 with the following chart (stock K16's, 3" catless, UMW tune, 91 octane, RWD).

Since then (2018) installed SRM K24's, Injectors, GT2RS I/C's, Marski mafless tune, filters on turbo's. The mafless tune has run flawless for a year.

Finally got around to getting it Dyno'd this week.

Same: shop, dyno, operator, 91 pump gas & RWD. Here are the results :

More on the red run vs. green run later.

I asked the operator for a overlay from my baseline . . . still waiting . . . quicker to draw it on the new graph.

Green run was with Super 10 mufflers on the UW 3" catless.

I removed the mufflers for the red run and slipped on the original end pipes (resulting in the standard UW 3" SS catless).

I was surprised the Super 10's back pressure helped a little up to 4250 rpm and only cost 10-15 hp above 5250 rpm.

The super 10's quiet down the car noticeably, huge difference at cold start-up.

Ignore the electric cut-outs, the cold start-up is very reasonable, so I removed them.

At what boost levels are the different runs?

All runs are at 1.2 bar.

Those are solid numbers for 91 octane.

Anyone have any thoughts about how safe my stock rods are with this set-up ?

If the torque curve was shifted 5-600 rpm or more to the left, I would be more concerned. The SRM turbos seem to spool faster than my K24-18g's, I would prefer that power curve over what I have now.

Seems like a lot of extra mods for only 30rwhp? Or is it the change to the curve that’s what matters more so than peak power?!

HP went from 453 ((K16's) to 580 (SRM's)
TQ went from 550 (K16's) to 590 (SRM's)

Huge improvement. Hoping the rods are not over-stressed with the way the power comes on.

Don't mash it at low rpm, like when trying to pass someone. Hard to do though because it is fun to feel that boost come on from low rpm.

The Torque curve has shifted 750 rpm to the right. It used to make 550 WTQ @ 3500 rpm -> it now it needs 4250 to make 550 WTQ.

At 4250 the bigger turbos are working, the SRM's make 100 WTQ from 4500 -7000 over the K16's

If I mash the gas at a low rpm, in a big gear, the turbos don't spool as hard as the K16's below 4250. You would think there would be less cylinder pressure with the SRM's below 4250 and therefore lower chance of bending rods.

What am I missing ?

Could be true. You're probably in good shape. I'm just saying that is where you want to be a little more cautious.

Ahh my bad , couldn’t zoom in far enough on my phone screen. Can post up some pics of what air filter setup you’re running? I know it’s maff less just wonder what you went with.

Do you have filters on your turbos or the stock intake system?
