Is there ipod hope for the 996 too?

Just stumbled across this link where they claim to have installed the ipod dock in a 997 Carrera. Any thoughts as to whether this would work in the 996TT? Are the stereo systems in the 997 MOST networked as well as the later TT's?

Is Dension still the only hope?

$200 is expensive to have an ipod playing in your car? How is the sound quality?

Harmon Kardan has a new product that hardwires your ipod. It gives you a separate LCD screen and hand control. Looks cool, I'm undecided whether I actually want it in my TT. Thinking about it

There shoudl be a simple interface that goes in and simulates the CD changer. Am I missing something or is that the Ice Link.

I just gave up on an ipod link! Too much time waiting and too many promises and nothing to show for it.

I've never had any luck with the wireless transmitters in any of my cars. When i got it to work, the sound quality was crap!

I use a FM transmitter, but I hate it. I constantly loses reception and sound quality is fair at best. I think the Harmon Kardon set up looks interesting
