Can people say what they have used as a replacement battery for their Turbo? I'm only looking for a full sized battery. Thanks!

 

H8 from Walmart.

 

agree. any h8 is oem. porsche dealerships in CA replace with interstate h8's. unless one wants to pay extra for porsche "labelling".

 

Thanks for the comments! I have the Interstate in it now.

 

My local Porsche dealer switched from Moll to Interstate. When Moll manufacturing left Spain for somewhere else quality went down.

But even with Interstate quality was not stellar. I got a new Interstate in my Turbo and 5 months later the new battery was dead. A replacement Interstate -- replaced under warranty -- was just fine even several years later.

side note. i'm on this current interstate replacement for over 3 years now. that may be a "record" for me.

i attribute the longevity to having the ctek 3300 trickle charger. best 60 bucks i ever spent.

 

I ended up with a Champion AGM size H7 for $134.94 from Pep Boys. The interstate lasted 5 years.

 

Yea, I replaced mine with an H7 AGM from Walmart last week.

 

Everyone should check out 'project farm' on youtube. He does a great in depth testing on all the major car battery brands. Very informative!
