Spoiler Alert : 997tt wing on 996tt cab

I couldn't wait to post this, pics arent the best. The weather sucks rn (for florida) and it got dark on me, but here we go.

I got super lucky and bought an Arctic Silver factory 997tt wing from the classifieds here on 6SO. I posted a WTB/ISO ad. Boom.

I will post a bunch more when the sun comes back and the drizzle goes away!

Erams for the win! I just doubled my selection of spoilers, not that it matters as much on a cab, but now I can choose wings from either chassis.

Nice! Amazing how much larger the 997 turbo wing is. Left mine red.

Attaches same as the OE 996? Your photo makes the ram distance spread look different. I guess it's a depth of field thing.

Spacing is the same. You cant do it with the oem hydraulics (that I can think of) but you can if you have the Rennkit Erams.

tekkie is infamous around these parts
why doesn't it work with the stock system? isnt the mounting part in the wing the same? or will it not work because the ram isnt long enough?

i have been trying to figure out how to extend the stock ones but those connectors are funky

Mounts are different. 997tt wing is threaded in, not a twist lock like on the 996tt. You couldn't thread an adapter on and then use the snap ring required on the 996 rams.

I can also confirm that the cabrio top rear body panel DOES NOT conflict with the spoiler in its UP position. I can leave the spoiler UP and operate the top, no problems. There's tons of clearance to spare between them.

So it interferes with the cab top when the wing is in the down position?

Not at all. No interference whatsoever.

I was saying that if it were going to hit, it would only do so in the up position.... but it doesn't. Not even close.
