Just hard wired the V1

I got motivated to work on the tt as I just got my clear sidemarkers from eric at bumperplugs. Yeah!
The hard wiring went well. First I opened up the sunroof access panel. This is done by removing 2 screws and tugging at the lip until it pops off. Then, I wired it through an always on wire to the lighting. Grounded it thru one of the screw mounting holes. I ran the wires out to near the rearview mirror. My V1 is mounted just below the mirror. Very slick looking. Took about 30 mins. Id be happy to walk anyone thru it if they are interested.

I just checked for a power source that was always on and used the red wire with a black stripe that is out of the most forward bundle going into the dome light housing (not the sunroof.

I thought of doing this too but I hate the initial alarm of the V1 so I just leave it on most of the time when parking. I dont think it uses much power.
