I’m using a remote mounted Bosch Motorsport 3.0 bar MAP sensor integrated into the intake manifold post throttle body. Putting it pre throttle body in the OEM location does not make much sense.

Bosch makes a 4bar map that fits the stock location.

John - are you using a sensor posy throttle for your dash?

We are logging both the OEM pre-throttle and Bosch post throttle sensor data. The OEM sensor value comes from CAN and the Bosch sensor value goes directly to Motec. I am displaying both on my dash. The post-throttle sensor data is the more useful of the two as it gives an actual undistorted manifold pressure value which is what is used to control the fuel pump and and other engine parameters. The pre-throttle sensor is not of much value as it will give false high readings when the throttle plate is closed. During sudden closure of the throttle body plate the pre-throttle sensor will naturally display boost spikes. The attached picture shows how we are getting the manifold pressure source.

We are currently in the process of getting the programming done for the Motec M150 ECU and will be switching to that shortly.

I was gonna buy the Motec to try out, bought the Syvecs though, kinda regret it. The software sucks, it’s like it from the 90’s.

thanks
