Need some guidance. Axle shaft

Pretty sure I have a blown CV joint in the axle shaft. Sounds like marbles in a can and has for years and has gotten worse. Not really interested in rebuilding it as I just want a new replacement. Any info on where to go to get one? And 1000$??? Thanks for any information

$700 at the dealer. That's not an after-market item.

When the rear CV joint went out in my 99 C4 at about 120K miles it sounded like someone was tapping on the rear of the car and it would come and go with time and throttle application and change with speed. I found a used set of Turbo axles on e-bay that had 30K on them for $400. They are still gong strong at 200K ( I sold it to a friend).

I just had my Indy reboot my front driver axle. I bought the boots, bolts and nut on pelican for like $50 and he charged me under $300 in labor to remove and rebuild the axle.

I would replace both as a pair. It might induce some strange yaw or shiftyness in the rear under acell and decell if the axles had varying amounts of play

Anyone know off hand what size the axle nut is on the wheel hub? Want to make sure I have it before I dig in. There isn't a single YouTube video of a rear shaft for a turbo.

you can easily pop off the wheel cap with the wheels still on and stick a socket in to check the size

The size of the socket needed to remove the axle nut is 32mm and the torque of this nut is 460 ftlb.

I have the socket at the house, I can check later today. My gut says 32mm but let me check

I just did both of my fronts. These things are super reliable. They are the woodstoves of performance cars! I spent more in a year with my F355 that I have in 18 years with my Turbo!
