ID725 injector woes

My 2001 996TT has an EvoMS modified GT660 tune with ID725 injectors. For the second time the #3 injector works intermittently. This seems to be worse when the car is cold, and is worse when it is wet outside. The car generally starts running on 6 cylinders when warmed up but can misfire slightly at full load. When this happened 4 years we replaced the #3 which solved the problem. Since this has now happened again to the same cylinder, and it is worse when wet, I suspect that this may be an electrical problem. Besides, the ID725 is no longer available. Also, the #3 injector is hard to access. My thought is to swap two injectors to see if the problem follows the injector.
Has anyone on the list had a similar problem and found the issue?
Also, does anyone have a spare ID725 injector?

My car has an old GT700 kit, and I swapped the injectors out last year to more modern larger injectors.

If my old ones can be useful to you, let me know. I know they required a modification to the stock fuel rail, not sure if they are the same as yours or not.

Your offer is extremely generous. Maybe the GT700 had ID725 injectors. I will attempt to check with Sam at EvoMS. hard to check now. Is there anyway you can try to find an identification on, or take detail pictures of, an injector?

TIA,
Ola

The old gt700 uses deka 60lb injectors. If you do not use the car every day send all the injectors for service and see if that injector is bad, it could be wiring.

Thank you!

I have spoken to Injector Dynamics. They will test the injectors for $25 each, and fix or replace if needed. Since disassembly and reassembly are time consuming we will do this first. If injectors are ok we will work on wiring.

You can lower the engine to get more room to work without disconnecting the coolant hoses.

Thank you. Injectors are out and on their way to ID. Let's see what we learn.
