All Electronics just shut off when trying to start

So I left my lights on and killed my battery. Now I couldn't jump it so I took it out of the car and put it on a charger for 24 hours. I just put it back in the car and upon connecting it, all the electronics came on. Yay! BUT, I went to turn it over and POW, all electronics went out. Now this sounds like a fuse to me, but not sure.

So first, what would be main fuse be that would shut EVERYTHING off? Secondly, why the hell would this happen? I mean I guess the battery could just be bad (its 4 years old), but would that cause a fuse to blow? Or is this something else all together. I'm about to go start pulling fuses and looking, but I guess that wouldn't fix the initial problem even if I found a blown one.

Thanks in advance for any insight!!!!!

I’d replace the battery as a start. If no joy there then start chasing fuses and grounds and the ignition switch. If you have a durametric cable I’d see what it has to say as well on the readout. - scrh1

Your ignition switch may have failed as well. Check threads in this and the Turbo 997 section on replacing the ignition switch.

Def get yourself a new battery. Lead acid batteries don't like being fully discharged and will experience damage as a result. Not worth debugging anything else when batteries are so cheap.

You may want to check the grounds. Specifically the short ground cable that comes off the battery that is tied to the unibody. Check that the bolt is tight.
