PCCM+ minor issues

Has anyone figured out, how to keep the PCCM+ off and not go on upon engine start? Is not driving me crazy, but it is nuisance.

Thanks

According to this post
https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/.../#post-1112398

So if you have a facelift vehicle it will utilise the CAN bus and communicate with the cluster (it sends the route info etc to be displayed - and takes the shut down/start up instruction from the cluster, lighting etc).

If you have an earlier model then the communication it has with the cluster is to take a feed for the lighting (switch illumination) and it also has a connection to the speed signal (volume control). The power on/off is done in the old fashioned way via terminal 15.”

When I didn’t connect the CANbus cable in my 2003 turbo, I indeed needed to turn on the PCCM+ manually (it auto turns off after a while) and there was no illumination even when I turn off the headlights.
