Trade turbo for Gt-2?
I'm considering trading my '01 996tt with EVO Stage 4 for a GT-2.
One option is '02 EURO GT-2 with low miles. I'm planning to modify it so warranty is not as critical to me. What price difference should I pay?

Its a tough call, it all depends on what you will be more comfortable with, 2wd or 4wd, the GT2 isnt as forgiving of a car as the Turbo is, some members here vote for the Turbo over the GT2 when heavily modding them, they are both great and have different handling characteristics, one thing I will add is that a since warranty isnt an issue to you, a EURO GT2 will be a fairly cheap buy, there was one on this board for sale for a while, keep us up to date on your decision.

WHY??
Don't do it, you will have a slower car and only rear wheel drive. If you want big horsepower you need the all wheel drive!

GO for it, The GT2 can handle more torque. I believe TTP has over 800HP on their GT2.
I know a handful of supras and vipers, all RWD pushing over 1000 abused HP.
But within the balance of AWD and about 600HP, you could be right, but throw some rossas on the GT2 and it might stick just as well.
We'll have to see...............soon
I love the GT2, my brothers is awesome.. I love that the car rewards you for good driving. If you drive reckless and sloppy with it watch out... but if your drive clean that car will out handle almost anything. Also the feel of the GT2 is much more like the older 911's which I love! Althought the allwheel drive turbos handle well, I love the ability to bring the rear end around with ease with the throttle. If you have the means by the GT2 but I would advise you to not buy a new one because your going to take a decent size hit in the wallet. TO be honest thats as close as you can get to a true Porsche. Rear wheel drive and tons of turbo
euro's should be 30-40 back of usa cars, but i havent seen one below 110 and that one had 10K miles...
you must be a professional driver if you think you need more power in a gt2... factory understates HP,

it's a tough call cuz there is so much variation on both ends of the spectrum. FIgure that puts it at 95k for your car and 125k for the GT2. Seems pretty reasonable. Would def be a good deal if you can get it down closer to 20k.
