Ya that makes sense because I did have an exhaust on at the time.

I think it's been said here before - "Warranty, warranty, warranty" - having said that, I've taken my X50 and done the exhaust, ECU, etc.

There's a sense of security in being able to drive the car in and say "it's broken, fix it". Other than that, you're right, IMO

personally, it doesn't make sense to me buy an x50 and then modify it.

You can easily get reliable 550 HP/torque for your money with a reputable tuner for less than the x50. All the other stuff on the x50 is a moot point.
