New "seat of the pants dyno" method !!

So I'm picking up my car from Sharkwerks and another fellow 6speeder gets a ride in my just upgraded GT640 car.....

New way to see if you have enough power..

Punch it in second gear and if your sunglasses perching on your forehead fly staright back and end up on the rear seats, I gotta say you are on the way there !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the 640 upgrade with AWE exhaust. Spools up fast and keeps on giving.

Thanks Alex and James.

P.S> You guys define customer service. My car was driven to the alignment shop about 20+ miles away and back (in peak traffic, torrential rain and Toyo RA-1's) by Sharkey. They really did not have to do this but bailed me out .

Thumbs up

Thanks for the ride spidey! I love the way how smooth the power delivery is on your car. I'm soooo envious! Anyway, make sure to lend me your sunglasses when I'm ready to test mine out using your new found method.

Ahh.. seriously Spidey- twas and always is a pleasure. With my car away at least I have this one to remind me It's got some great grunt to it now and watch that clutch! I'm going to make sure I use the sung-glasses method from now on. Much more scientific... The only sad thing about you moving up is that we no longer have our poster-child for the Stage II. And even SCSlite seems like he won't be lasting long at the Stage II.

Next round is a bit more bling....

And it was a real community-effort as JWGT2 (thanks buddy!) drove with me down to the alignment shop, whilst his car was here for inspection. Funny thing was when I dropped your car off there in the morning, I picked up another yellow GT640 to bring into do the GT3 Seats and roll bar. YoWils gets credit there too. Basically I owe y'all a nice big bottle of NOS...

RA-1s in traffic and in the rain are a-ok. The only issue is people fighting like mad to try and hit each other whilst changing lanes. I did use the GTR's once or twice:P

I love that GT640 kit for just that reason. Comes on strong and hard but does so early Envious? Hey... you're next and you know it.....

The test for the GT700 is: did your head smack off of the head rest upon stabbing the throttle in 2nd. I'm embarrased to say I passed that test.

i told you it would be a mistake to take a ride in mine !!

Now you will lose sleep, and get "boost withdrawal" symptoms

But still, you have the better handling package with the MOTONS....

On to the track soooonnnn (if it ever stops raining..........)

limitup has a spectacular aura aboutlimitup has a spectacular aura about
After I upgraded to Stage 4, the first time I floored it in 2nd my Alpine fell right out of the dash and practically landed in my lap. Obviously it wasn't installed as well as it could have been, but 2nd gear is definitely violent. Fun stuff!

That reminds me of the time I was evading a Crown Vic and I went WOT getting on the freeway in the ZO6, I hit 3rd gear, hit 24psi instantly and the car went violently sideways (must have been oil on the road) ,and my V1 came off the windshild (suction cups and cord) and flew out the passanger side window onto the freeway ...needless to say the NOS bottle stayed off after that experience!!

Congrats on your mods and Sharkey for turning out such great service...
