Side view Mirror question

My drivers side mirror is a blue tint with a black rubber boarder. The passenger is a silver (normal) colored mirror. I am assuming the Blue is for auto dimming? Are they normally different? It just seems odd.

Anyone have an answer/explination?

Thanks,
Eric

girthboy is infamous around these parts
do the side view mirrors move inward so when you park it would help prevent someone smashing into it?

IMHO, the tint on the driver side mirror makes it look "foggy" - never looks clean to me.
