Question Can You Disable That Think When Rpm Is On high at Red Line?

I PUT FIRST GEAR AND I SPIN THE WHEELS ,RPMS ABOUT 4-5K AND CAR DIES,
LIKE YOU CUT THE POWER, THEN SECOND GEAR GOES BETTER ,BUT I THINK MANUFACTURE HAS SOMETHING WHEN THE RPMS GOES TO HIGH CUTS THE GAS OR POWER,SO THE ENGINE WILL NOT SIEZE.
ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THAT?CAN I DISABLE THAT?
SORRY I CANT EXPLAIN MUCH BETTER.
THANK YHOU IN ADVANCE

Billy, I thought this was happening to me also in first and second gear. I realized later that my 4-5k was probably 6-7k at the limiter and I just couldnt see it. With an after market exhaust, LWFW ect the car accelerates so fast in first and second gear they are almost useless. Look again, I bet the revs are higher that you think!!

If you're spinning the wheels, you should invest in some better tires.

You probably over revved it.

Get a softer rubber tire next time. The one's you have have little traction compared to many.

The thing is that you're actually doing 6750revs but the tacho is still reading 5k to 6krevs as its slower than the engine actually rev in the first gear (2nd gear as well on highly tuned cars). This obviously applies if you turned the PSM off. This is not new, it has been discussed before.

It is my understanding first gear has a rev limiter at 5800. Power is cut and you will get way past it with momentum. Imagine what would happen if the limiter for first didn't engauge until 6800.
