I'm curious, because I see all sorts of FXs out there and I still don't understand.
Because I would NEVER drive a "wagon"

And I can haul my dogs in the back of the FX without their heads hitting the roof and also get decent performance.

Plus what is an E500 wagon going to cost? Do you think that either the Audi or Benz will beat the reliabilty of a vehicle made in Japan? Not a chance. My wife's Benz is in the shop more than any of our other cars. For a reliable daily driver you can't beat a Japaneese car... IMHO of course...

I just priced out a Cayenne turbo exactly the way I would want it and the sticker was:

$113,000.00! YIKES!

I think it will be a long time before I own a Cayenne turbo!

OK, I can see how some people prefer the style of an "SUV" to a wagon. Personally, I prefer the low CG unless there is some particular reason I need a high CG (e.g. off roading). And for me the handling and comfort are more important than the style, I guess.

But of course, I don't have dogs either.

OTOH, I do find the diesel Toureg interesting. But that's because it has real capabilities that the S6 or E500 don't. Like being able to pull a tree out by it's roots.
