the becker unit does not charge. however, how often are you in the car for 10 hours at a time ?

i don't remember where I got my becker adapter from. it was really cheap though, like $25. i think becker's website is becker.de you should be able to get a list of US dealers on there. very simple install. remove the radio, unplug the changer, plug in the adapter, plug the ipod into the adapter.... voila

Correct. But then again, why would you want to? As long as you have the in dash CD player for the occasional disk, the CD changers are becoming somewhat obsolete with the ability to plug ipod type devices into the vehicle.

CD changer: approx. 80 songs
My ipod: close to 8,000 songs

i yanked my changer and sold it on here. never looked back

I was under the impression that the IPOD set up worked only on the CDR-22 head unit (2002 and earlier) and not the CDR-23 (2003-2005)... Is this still the case? Or is there something available now?

If/when unit to connect IPOD is available AND you can control the song selection from the radio unit then I would definitely be in on a power buy!

i believe you are correct. 2003 and newer have the MOST system. i am not sure what the options are for the MOST equipped vehicles, but i know it makes things more difficult.
