Remember my key problem - Recall

Not sure if you remember, but I had both my Key fobs fail at the same time. Just found out it was a Porsche Recall. My Dealer called and informed me of this happening on SOME Porsches. They had fixed it under warranty anyway.

Joe West is infamous around these parts
Hi Ryan,

Can you give us some more details... specifically; how did they fail? What were the failure modes?

My Key fobs - the red light wouldn't come on, nor unlock the door. When I turned the door to unlock it, the F$&# alarm wouldn't go off. I called Roadside assistance, and they told me to take it to the dealer - But I couldn't get it started. Finally, I used my valet key to start the car.

OK, checkout www.alldata.com

General Recalls are listed there......

TSB Number Issue Date TSB Title 4/03 JUN 03 Campaign - Key Remote Control Replacement
6/03 MAY 03 Campaign - CDR 23 Radio Replacement

btw, I never received a letter from the dealer. Just got a call today thats all. Then I verified it with alldata.com
