When getting chrome lug bolts, be careful to avoid those that have had the threaded portion of the bolt chromed. It can cause problems down the road with the bolt holding proper torque values -- bolts will back off. Ask Oak, he's experienced this problem firsthand.
Thanks for that pointer Jack. I will definitely check that out.

Chrome Wheel Bolts

There is some strange mathematics employed in this discussion of wheel bolts. The Boothe design wheel bolts with special aluminum collar weighs 1 pound and 3.5 oz. A total of 5 bolts for one wheel. If the special light weight expensive bolts save 4 pounds per wheel, that makes the Boothe design have a weight of minus 2 pounds and 12.5 oz. per wheel.

Cna we get a group buy on the bolts? Also, I have factory wheel locks and am worried that if I get the Boothe bolts the wheels locks will no longer match! Getting rid of my wheel locks is NOT an option....

The Boothe bolts are spectacular, but do not match the wheel locks.
If you must keep the locks, then you might try the polished stock bolts (including polished locks) from wheel enhancements. I had a set of those for a short while, and although they are not as nice as the Boothe chromed units, they do look 100 times better than just stock.

After reading this thread, YOU GUYS HAVE OFFICIALLY LOST IT!!!
I recommend a set of bolt on spinners. The lugs can be purchased at R&S Strauss. How about a group buy on bolt on spinners.

Sporters, Booth does not currently have a matching wheel lock for the 996/TT. The one on the web site is for the 911/993. Like Msindi, no wheel locks is not an option for me either. I was told one is being developed and should be available soon....I hope.

Before you do, someone (By Design maybe?)had a set of titanium lugs that saved 2 lbs per wheel. Not cheap but a great way to reduce unsprung weight.

Go to a local import tuner or the sort, they have the lightweight lugs for around 80-100$

I second the lug from Ralph...Excellent match for HRE!!!

Not sure about these lightweight ones...but if they work, I'd love to get my hands on some! Any idea what import stores would carry these lugs??? It's been a few years since I've step foot in one of those import stores haha
