Extended warranty advice needed

I am about to buy an extended warranty from Auto Warranty Brokers who sells thru Lyndon insurance company. Does anyone have any experience with them or extended warranties in general? My car is modified so I am a little worried about coverage. Any advice or insight would be appreciated.

If your car is modded I would just save the money for future "upgrades". These warranties are a waste of money IMO they either wont pay, move or blame you for everything. If modded or tracked you can really forget it. Just my 2 cents.

I purchased an extended warranty from my dealer called EasyCare. I was told it is owned by Allstate and Ford. Who knows. Anyways, about 3 months after I purchased the warranty I needed a new alternator and other parts. EasyCare covered it (I think about $1500) including car rental, no questions. Great service. I am happy as it paid for ~65% of my investment. Good luck.

I have researched this topic in depth recently and I will be purchasing an Easy Care warranty soon. It is sold by your porsche dealer (dealer sets the price-so shop around), and it is backed by ford. It's the best warranty that I found.

I also bought easycare most comprehensive plan. 7 years from purchase date of insurance (good to 2013) and 60K total miles (I have 13K miles) for $2K. It's cheap insurance IMO.

I would assume any part that is damaged or requires replacement as a result of mods would be problematic for any warranty.

I would call your local porsche dealers to find the best price on an easy care warranty. I just paid $2600 for a 6yr/75k warranty (6 yrs from now, but 75K total miles). However, they also require an inspection of the car and an oil change (I paid $500 for that).

I purchased my Easycare from The Exchange in Highland Park, IL. 847-266-7000. I dealt w/Mike. I can't remember his last name though.

I think it may be the same company. When I purchased my EasyCare policy I was told it was owned by Ford and Allstate. I have had great luck w/EasyCare and would certainly purchase another policy from them. Mine has almost paid for itself already after only 15 months.

I've had 2 warranties through AWB.
One was refunded after 15 months because I sold the car and didn't use it.
The other I used and was very pleased with the speed of their response.

The Porsche shop that I used was very pleased with the experience as well.
