JIC CROSS on it's way

It was between PSS9 and JIC CROSS. After doing a lot of homework and advise from Tyson (Hamann) and Mike at By Design(his shootout car had it), I decided go with JIC. http://www.jic-magic.com/productscross.htm

I have driven in a few cars with PSS9's and now Mike gave me a ride in his shootout turbo cab. I could not believe how smooth the ride was and how flat that car cornered. Mike and a JIC rep took some time explaining the cross system...15 way adjustablity, pillow ball upper mounting, nitrogen filled damper and adjustable hight lower bracket to name a few. Also, the parts felt and looked very quality and well made. Also, a few teething issues with the PSS9's had me thinking too. Price was also very comparable to PSS9's.

I know Jon at Zeil MS He owns JIC and saw the setup when it was a proto type. My only suggestion to him was to change the lavender Coils they looked to sissy! Anyway he said that this was his companies branding so it stayed. One of my 968 buddies also has a 996TT with this setup and he loves it! I think you will be very happy....Other then the lavender coils.

The only difference in the Sport vs. the Competition is the spring rates. The competition has about a 50% stiffer spring.

According to their website, aside from ~50% stiffer spring, the Sport also is a fixed damper rate while the Competition is 15-way adjustable. Additionally, I doubt the spring rate is the only difference, as the damper rate (or range of adjustment) must match that of the spring stiffness.

Have you driven on it enough or compared it to other setups to give some feedback? What drove your decision making process? I am considering the same setup.

Thanks,
Stephen

Stephen, Mike at By design gave me a ride in his turbo cab with the cross comp. The ride was very comfortably firm. The pss9 is also very nice but was a little too hard for my taste. The car being a cab, I wanted something the performed yet not too harsh.
